Sally Loo’s Story
Sally Loo’s Wholesome Cafe began in 2009 because two locals wanted a seasonal, organic breakfast spot for their neighbors in the Railroad District. It started small and has since grown into a San Luis Obispo institution.

Sally’s is home-grown, organic. It’s easier to hire one company and have them source ingredients, but at Sally’s we are committed to supporting our local farmers and artisans. Farmers show up at our back door throughout the week to share their goods. We also meet our growers at farmers market to use their ingredients in our house-made recipes and baked goods. Just about everything is made in-house using top-notch ingredients!
We also believe in the art and science of quality coffee. Cacti Coffee Roasters is a local small-batch roaster out of Santa Margarita. Shawn Clark of Cacti Coffee Roasters cares about roasting the beans to bring out the best flavor they have to offer. You’ll thank your lucky stars you stumbled upon his beans while enjoying your meal with us at Sally Loo’s.
